Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• If under 18, you have obtained parental/guardian consent
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• You are not prohibited from using the App under applicable laws

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Update your information to keep it current
• Accept full responsibility for all activities under your account
• Never share your account credentials

The App may not be available in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for complying with local laws regarding app usage.

You may create an account using:

• Google Sign-In
• Apple Sign-In
• Guest mode (limited features)

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with Islamic principles and these Terms.

You may NOT:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any copyright or proprietary notices
• Misuse the AI chat feature for harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

When using the AI chat feature, you agree not to:

• Submit content that is offensive, hateful, or discriminatory
• Use the service to spread misinformation about Islam
• Engage in harassment or abusive behavior
• Submit content that violates intellectual property rights

The App and its content (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

The Quran text is in the public domain. Translations, tafsir, and audio recitations are used with permission or under appropriate licenses. We respect the sacred nature of the Quran and handle it with utmost reverence.

You retain ownership of any content you create using the App (e.g., chat conversations, notes). By using the App, you grant us a license to use this content solely to provide and improve our services.

Premium features are available through subscription plans:

• Monthly subscription
• Annual subscription
• Lifetime access (one-time payment)

New users may be eligible for a free trial period. You will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before the trial period expires.

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

• Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies
• We do not have access to process refunds directly
• Contact Apple or Google customer support for refund requests

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal.

The AI spiritual guidance is powered by Google's Gemini AI and is intended to provide general Islamic information and support. You expressly acknowledge and agree that:

The App is NOT:

• A substitute for qualified Islamic scholars or religious authorities
• A source of religious rulings (fatwas) or binding religious opinions
• Professional religious counseling or mental health service
• A replacement for medical or psychological treatment
• Guaranteed to be error-free or complete
• A definitive source of Islamic law or jurisprudence

The App IS:

• An AI-powered tool for personal spiritual reflection
• A supplementary resource for Islamic learning
• A prayer and devotion tracking assistant
• A digital companion for your spiritual journey

YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that:

• The App's AI responses are generated by machine learning models
• No content should be considered as official religious rulings
• All religious guidance should be verified with qualified scholars
• We make no claims of religious authority or scholarship
• The App may contain errors or inconsistencies in religious content

You acknowledge that:

• AI responses are generated by machine learning and may contain errors
• You should verify important religious matters with qualified scholars
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI guidance
• The AI is trained to provide guidance based on mainstream Islamic teachings

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all AI-generated content is completely accurate, current, or applicable to your specific situation.

Prayer times are calculated using the Adhan library based on your location. While we strive for accuracy:

• Prayer times are estimates and may vary slightly
• You should verify with local mosque times when possible
• We are not responsible for missed prayers due to calculation variations

By enabling location services, you consent to the App accessing your device location to calculate prayer times. Location data is processed locally and not stored on our servers.

The App may send notifications for:

• Prayer time reminders
• Daily habit reminders
• Achievement unlocks
• App updates and announcements

You can control notification preferences in the App settings or your device settings. Disabling notifications may affect your experience.

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES INCLUDED THEREIN ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

QURAN GUIDE AI EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

a) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Title
• Quiet enjoyment
• Quality of information

b) ANY WARRANTIES THAT:

• The App will meet your requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Results from the App will be accurate or reliable
• Errors or defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• Prayer times calculations are 100% accurate
• AI-generated content is completely accurate or appropriate
• The App is compatible with all devices or operating systems

WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTIES REGARDING:

• The religious accuracy of any content
• The appropriateness of content for your specific situation
• The qualifications of AI to provide religious guidance
• The completeness of Islamic information provided
• The accuracy of translations or interpretations

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING:

• Third-party content or services
• Links to external websites or resources
• User-generated content
• Advertisements or sponsored content

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL QURAN GUIDE AI, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

a) DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or emotional distress
• Loss of privacy
• Failure to meet any duty of care
• Negligence
• Cost of substitute services
• Spiritual or religious consequences
• Damages for prayer time miscalculations
• Consequences of AI-generated guidance
• Any other tangible or intangible losses

b) ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO:

• Use or inability to use the App
• Reliance on App content or features
• Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in content
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Alterations to your transmissions or data
• Statements or conduct of third parties
• Religious or spiritual decisions based on App content
• Technical failures or interruptions
• Viruses or other malicious code
• Deletion of content or communications
• Any other matter relating to the App

IF, NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, WE ARE FOUND LIABLE:

• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months
• For free users, liability shall not exceed USD $50
• Each claim shall be considered separately regarding this cap

These limitations shall apply regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or if any remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages. Accordingly, some limitations in this section may not apply to you.

This limitation applies to claims based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

The App provides Islamic guidance based on mainstream Sunni teachings. We respect all Islamic schools of thought and strive to provide balanced information.

The App does not provide religious rulings (fatwas). For specific religious questions, consult qualified Islamic scholars.

We handle the Quran and Islamic texts with utmost respect. If you notice any errors or concerns, please contact us immediately.

We may release updates to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add features. You are responsible for updating the App to the latest version.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through:

• In-app notification
• Email (if you have an account)
• Updated "Last Updated" date

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App
• Deleting your account in App settings
• Canceling your subscription

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• We discontinue the App (with reasonable notice)

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• You must stop using the App and delete it from your devices
• Locally stored data will be deleted when you uninstall
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@quranguideai.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with [Arbitration Association] rules, except where prohibited by law.

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access.
